Autumn: Swap This For This

Saturday, 2 November 2013
My last Swap This For This was for Back To School Week, and I thought it was time to do another one. Basically I take products you might usually go for on a normal day and give an alternative product. As its Autumn I decided Autumn themed products!

Lets start with base... As its getting towards winter, where your face loses pretty much all colour and I find I look peaky. So as I am currently only using a minimal coverage tinted foundation. Clinique's Moisture Surge Tinted Foundation in 01 (£22.) Because I am needing more coverage I am going to switch to Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation in Ivory (£6.99.) So Match Perfection will match my skin and give it some coverage.
Blush is amazing, especially my MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose (£2.50) one of my favourite products ever but in Autumn and Winter I prefer darker blush with a shimmer. So I am swapping to my Rimmel's Instant Radiance in Radiant Rose (£4.99.) I managed to get mine for £1 in Poundland.

Although neutrals are ideal for Autumn/Winter, I find that sometimes putting numerous shadows, blending etc can be time consuming! So instead of Rimmel's eye shadow quad in Urban Flower (£6.99,) I would use SEVENTEEN's Wild Metallics, Cream Shadow in Wild Bronze (£3.99.) For those days when you just don't have enough time!

Brown eyeliner such as MUA's 3 in 1 Contour Liner in Auburn (£1.50) is great for days when your eyes are bright. However, when I wake up cold and need my eyes to pop I use Rimmel's Precision Micro Liner (£5.49.) Also this is the only eyeliner other than a pencil one that I can actually use!

Most of my lip glosses are of the light pink variety! So I had a few to choose from! But one of my most worn has to be Natural Collection's Raspberry Ripple (£1.99.) My Auntie, who I see like twice a year, gave me a big box of stuff and in it was the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lip Gloss in Garnet Desire (£18.) Its a really nice sparkly, dark toned, red, perfect for Autumn!

Last, but not least... Lipstick!! Now like my lip glosses, I have loads of pink lipsticks, but one of my favourites is Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick in Pink Blush (£4.99.) I got Avon's Rare Bling Lipstick (£8) in a mystery bag for £8, so it's basically loads of products that aren't selling well, but I really think it will be a nice Autumn shade!

So that's it till the next one, probably Winter. (Don't hold me to that!)
