June Glossybox
Last months Glossybox was quite a nice once and is starting to restore my faith in boxes. After using the products from May's box I filled in the surveys on the website and found that I had enough points for a free box, obviously this was an offer I couldn't resist so I redeemed my points straight away! The box arrived and it was a welcome surprise as I have been revising for mocks for the past age!June Glossybox MagazineAgain, like last months, there is the cute little magazine. This time it has the story behind So Susan cosmetics and also a look inside Really Ree's makeup bag which was very interesing! As I said in my May Glossybox post, I love little magazines like this. It also came with the standard 'menu' of products my box, which again is another thing I love!
June Glossybox Contents
I was quite pleased with my box this month; Glossybox guarenteed the boxes value to be over £45 which is great, as sometimes the boxes contents aren't worth much more than you pay. Also in this box I recieved no perfume or body lotion samples which is always good!
PRO:VOKE Touch Of Silver Shampoo
First thing I got was this PRO:VOKE Touch Of Silver Shampoo, I already own and use this often and I do think it brightens my hair. However, do not be alarmed when you open the bottle to find an opaque dark purple product, because, scary though it seems it does not stain your hair. Thank goodness. Instead it somehow, (I have no idea how,) brightens blonde, grey and white hair really nicely.
Nail Girls 3 in 1 Base Top Coat and Strengthener
Now this is something I have been trying to find for a while, a nail strengthener. If you read my blog often you may know how much I struggle with peeling, brittle nails, and I am always on the lookout for a nail strengthener that actually does something to my nails, unlike ones I have tried before, (you know who you are...) So receiving Nail Girls 3 in 1 Base Topcoat and Strengthener was brilliant. I can't wait to try this out and report back!
Teez Trend Cosmetics Flat Stiff Brush
Next onto my favourite product I have ever, ever, ever received in a Glossybox, like ever! (Casual Taylor Swift reference just there!) This is a Teez Trend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush, and OMG I love it. Now this is a natural hair brush so wont be for everyone but if you do decide you need a good quality brush for packing on eye shadow this is definitely one that you should consider. It may be quite expensive but it doesn't look like it's going to break anytime, plus the handle design is so beautiful.
Rituals...Qi Gong Spray
This is quite a random product that features in my Glossybox this month, and it comes in the shape of a Rituals Qui Gong Spray. I am much more of a roll on deodorant person, than a spray, I'm not sure why it's just the type I've always used, anyway back to the product. I cannot work out if I like the smell, it's apparently meant to be a white lotus and yi yi ren scent, but I have no clue what either of them smell like!
So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush
Final product is from a brand that has been hovering over a couple of blogs, it is also a full size product too! It is the So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush. The little box it came in was so cute, but I'm not overly keen on the actual product packaging; it seems kind of cheap looking for a £18 blush in my opinion, but it's the product inside that counts. The blush itself is so silky and soft as a really pretty colour that apparently adapts to a specific shade for different skin tones. It is also free from mineral oils, phthalates, has no animal by-products, is fragrance free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and most importantly cruelty free.
So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush Swatch
So I am very pleased with my Glossybox this month, the total contents are around £46 which is great value compared to previous boxes, plus the products are all things I will use unlike some from previous boxes! Did you get this months Glossybox? Did you like the products you got? If you have posted about yours I would love to read it so feel free to link it in the comments!

Top 3 Summer Shades

BarryM Blueberry Ice Cream B. Persica Sinful Colors Unicorn
Summer is on its way! It has been sunny for the past week, not to mention the amazing heat, (I haven't burnt yet either! Bonus!) I was thinking about the colours I love for Summer and managed to pick out three nail polish shades which I think will be perfect!

First polish I chose was B.Quick One Coat Professional Finish polish in Persica. I have seen this colour in pretty much every single clothing shop I have been into for the past month. So I'm guessing it is this seasons colour, maybe/maybe not? The idea around this is that you don't need more than one coat so doing your nails becomes quick and stress free; you can definitely get away with just the one coat, however I prefer going with the two just so it is truly opaque! Without a top coat this lasts for a few days but will chip, with a top coat I imagine you could get five days wear maybe...

Next I chose Unicorn by Sinful Colors. I'm not someone who is a fan of the colour yellow to be perfectly honest, but this is growing on me. Unlike some yellows, (take Joe Harts kit against Italy,) Unicorn is not too bright, it's a pastel but not a pastel if you know what I mean. It's almost too bright to be a pastel but not bright enough to be a bright yellow! (Sorry, look at my rambling!) Anyways  I am growing to like this colour and I am finding it very wearable and easy to match clothes too!

Finally we have BarryM's Blueberry Ice Cream, which I did mention in a disappointing products post  but have since grown to like. It was in my disappointing products post as I found it took an age to dry, I have now found that the layers I was applying it in were too thick so have managed to overcome that problem! This is a nice bright blue that isn't too bright and is completely wearable. I can picture this looking good with a white top and denim shorts!

BarryM Blueberry Ice Cream B. Persica Sinful Colors Unicorn

Sorry about the swatch quality, the nail wheels I bought were awful. Every single nail has dust, fibres and fluff on it and I physically cannot get it off so I'm having to just grin and bear it! I hope you like my Summer Nail Polish Picks, I'd love to know yours!

NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss

Saturday, 7 June 2014
NYX is a brand not widely available in the UK, and up until a couple of weekends ago, I had never even seen a NYX stand in the UK. However, I was aware that in a select few NEXT's are NYX stands and guess what!? I found one, in possibly the biggest NEXT and NEXT Home I have seen ever, (it had its own Costs!) This was in the Gemini Retail Park in Warrington, (it also had the nicest Boots ever too!) Anyway whilst I was there I picked up a blogger favourite; their Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige, I have heard Ingrid or MissGlamorazzi talk about it many a time, so thought it had to be the one I picked up.

I think I'll start with the packaging. Surprisingly I really like this, it isn't as basic as it first appears to be; the cuboid with rounded edges may not be new however NYX have crafted it really nicely. The lid is of the shiny black twisting variety, with the added embellishment of a bow diagonally on the end of the tube. The part that holds the product is coloured the same as the product inside, (I don't think that the tube is see through however, I could easily be wrong.) I like the packaging as it is wipe clean unlike some brands meaning it is ideal to travel with. It also is quite slim and sturdy, meaning it is ideal for slipping into a handbag or school bag for top ups throughout the day.
As for the product itself it smells amazing, whilst sat here writing this post I cannot stop myself from opening the tube and smelling the strong fake cherry smell. I honestly love it! I think that maybe some people will shy away from the product because of the overpowering smell but if you can get over that I imagine most people can find a place in their collection for this gloss.

Beige is a very strange name for the light pinky nude colour that it is. I would have gone for Pink Beige at a push highlighting the fact that it is a nudey pink, calling it Beige makes me think it is a paint colour which doesn't sound too appealing to put on your lips really. I have honestly fallen in love with the consistency of this too. Although it is a shiny gloss it isn't too sticky, this does mean it's not the longest wearing gloss but it lasts longer than the Benefit glosses I have tried. Going back to the consistency it is slightly buttery almost, (is that how you'd describe it?) Anyway however you would describe it, it glides beautifully onto the lips. The way it glides onto the lips is helped by the wand. At first glance it seems to be an ordinary doe foot applicator like most other glosses, but if you look closer it is slightly curved helping you apply it easily to the lips. I really like this as it is also quite flexible so I can get the corners of my lips with out going wrong which is something I manage to do a lot.

For me I think this lip gloss would look best on pale skin tones as it would stand out nicely against pale skin like mine, I also think wearing a similar blush could look nice. For the rest of the face I would go for minimal makeup, neutral eyes etc. But if you can get your hands on this, I would seriously suggest it!
At £6 it was not the least expensive lip gloss I have ever bought, however, so far it has been worth every penny. I think I would like to try some of the Butter Glosses next as I would love to compare them to this and also the Collection Lip Creams too! Have you tried any NYX products, what are your thoughts on them?

Award | Liebster #2

Thursday, 5 June 2014
Back in January I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Ella from Thoughts, Beauty, Fashion, since then I have been nominated by Simone from Thirty Something OAP and also Be from Love From Be. So I have decided to answer the question they set in this post because I thought it would be fun!

So I thought I would start with Simone's questions!

Do you like your first name? If not, why not?
I do like my first name, Elizabeth however, I have never been called Elizabeth except in school until I tell them different!

Why did you start a blog?
I started my blog so I could express my love of all things beauty, and its sort of gone from there!

Is there anything you won't mention or talk about in your blog?
I won't mention anything that I don't think is related to beauty, lifestyle, fashion etc because I don't really want to stray from my blogging path.

What makes your blog unique?
I think what makes my blog unique is that I give a teenagers view on the products I try and review.

Where do you live?
I currently live with my parents near Reading.

What is your dream job?
I love singing and annoy everyone with my constant rendition of songs, so a singer would be my unrealistic dream job, however my realistic dream job would be a criminal lawyer!

What is your favourite kind of music? Name some of your favourite bands.
My favourite type of music is currently Pop or Alternative, my favourite artists are Coldplay, Lauren Aquilina, Taylor Swift and Foxes.

Who is your biggest inspiration?I love musicians such as Taylor Swift and Lauren Aquilina as they have worked very hard for their dreams and managed to achieve it!

Kebabs - yes or no?
I have never actually tried a Kebab so I will have to go with no...

Do you have any piercings or tattoos? Tell us about them.
I have my ears pierced but I hardly ever wear earrings though as I can't find many I like.

What is your favourite pizza topping? Thin crust or deep pan?
Favourite pizza...? This is such a hard question but I would have to go for thin crust Hawaiian.

Next up are Be's questions...

Who was your first celebrity crush?
That is a difficult question, but I am probably going to go with Fernando Torres. Now a hated traitor but at the time he was a good looking and played for Liverpool.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
Salad... Yeah I know I am boring but I love salad so much!

Do you prefer pants or dresses/skirts?
I would say pants/trousers. I've always been a jeans or leggings girl, I feel more comfortable in them!

Favourite make-up item?
Hard but I have to pick two; Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation and Benefit Dandelion.

What's your biggest flaw?
Not taking opportunities when they are offered, and never believing in myself.

Your greatest quality?
Having a song for every occasion. I know it can be annoying but it makes people smile.

If you could have one super-power, what would it be and why?
My power would have to be invisibility. I'd chose this because I would be able to hear what people really thought of me and also I would be to hide away from the world.

If you had to delete one action from your every-day morning routine, what would it be?
This was a hard one to choose but it would probably have to be straightening my hair. It takes so much time so would shorten my routine considerably.

What's your biggest dream?
To one day release an EP if I have the chance, cheesy I know! Or to become a successful lawyer...

Disney World or New York City?
I have already been to Disney a couple of times so it would have to be NYC, I'd love to see the skyline, Empire State building. Not to mention the shopping!

If you were to have a theme wedding, what theme would you choose?
I think that it would be really cool to have an Alice in Wonderland theme, guests dressed in either red and black, or white and black, on either side of the aisle. I could imagine me in a long white dress with a light blue sash as Alice!

Hope you enjoyed it!
