BigBlogmasProject | Day 1 Winter Everday Face

Monday, 1 December 2014
This is a scary post to write, as here marks the start of the #BigBlogmasProject2014 which is a collection of bloggers, (over 50 at the moment,) posting everyday, you heard right that's every single day, until the end of December so that's 31 posts in a month you lucky things! I haven't yet decided whether to post my normal 3 posts a week on top of the 31 just yet, I shall see how kind time is deciding to be to me once we are a few posts into the #BigBlogmasProject2014!

The first topic was outlined to be a general Winter post, so I thought I would take this post to share with you my everyday Winter face as I love reading these posts myself.
Winter Everday Face
For moisturiser I like to use one with illuminating properties as in Winter my face tends to be dull, and my skin drier than other times of the year. Currently my favourite is Simple Illuminating Radiance Cream, Simple are a brand I always consider when choosing skincare essentials as they are kind to skin and fragrance free. As the weather in Winter can be fairly unpredictable a primer is high on my list of must haves, sticking with the illuminating theme Benefit That Gal is perfect as it is a brightening primer and also smells great! Moving onto foundation I wouldn't choose a matte finish as some matte foundations can emphasise the dry patches I have. Something like Rimmel Wake Me Up as it helps give your skin a healthy glow whilst also giving a decent amount of coverage. It probably isn't surprising that my concealer of choice is Collection Lasting Perfection, this has great coverage, it covers my dark circles and blemishes really well. Finally for powder I stick with my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte powder, I only apply it where it is needed though which is usually my t-zone.

In Winter I like to keep my eye makeup pretty basic, though I will always use a primer, my most used at the moment is Absolute New York Eye Lid Primer. For quick splash of colour I like to use a cream eyeshadow, such as Maybelline Eternal Gold Color Tattoo, as I can apply it with my fingers, or a gel eyeliner pencil, (Avon SuperShock Flash Gel Liner is a favourite of mine,) which I run over the lid and then even out with my fingers. I cannot go with out liner, so a thin line of black using the Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen is quick and easy to do. I also like to take a flesh coloured liner, Rimmel Nude Liner I'm looking at you, this really wakes up your whole face in one teeny step. Lastly for the eyes is something I cannot go without...It is of course mascara and one of my all time favourites is Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, it defines my lashes nicely and is also long wearing!
Winter Everday Face
My lips get horrible and dry in Winter so I use a lip scrub currently I'm using Etre Belle Liplift Peel, then over the top I use Clinique All About Lips, which is a lip conditioner and lifesaver! As my lips are dry, matte lipsticks aren't my go to I usually opt for a balmy product Revlon Sugar Frosting Lip Butter is a really pretty frosted pale pink.
Winter Everday Face
I'm not really a blush girl but in Winter it's nice to use Benefit Dandelion to dust over my cheeks. I then also like to take a highlighter, Soap&Glory Glow All Out, to get back my skins summer glow!

Now I know my Everyday Winter Face seems quite heavy but I really like this for Winter! I would love to know your Winter Face or essentials!
