Top 5 Beauty Advent Calendars

Wednesday, 5 October 2016
By now I imagine you have seen about 50 different beauty advent calendar posts, and you're probably wondering why I am joining in the trend. While I am showing you some beauty advent calendars I'm showing you my top five and nothing more because I can't afford them all, as much as I wish I could!

Best 2016 Beauty Advent Calendars

1. First up is the Ciate calendar, 24 doors of nail related goodies for a reasonable £49. I picked up one of these calendars a couple of years ago in TKMaxx for about a third of the price and I loved it. It left me with so many new mini nail polishes, and because they're mini you can actually use a whole bottle pretty easily. If you're starting out your nail polish collection I would wholeheartedly suggest you get this to start it.

2. Now if your body is in need of pampering then The Body Shop has you covered. Last year they had two and this year they've upped their game and have three! They're set at different price points £60/£80/£99 each with an impressive amount of value within each. Apparently the £99 calendar has some of their most expensive products.

3. The calendar I am lusting after the most is obviously the Charlotte Tilbury calendar which is an eye watering £150, it really does make me want to cry because I just can't afford it. It looks stunning from the illustrations to the products themselves. If you're lucky enough to get one please promise you'll show me it!

4. I am loving Lush at the moment; there's a Halloween post scheduled and a Christmas haul coming very soon! This Lush calendar has 12 delights for you at £49.95. It's definitely not the most expensive but also not the least. Let's be honest though, if you love Lush you'll probably want to get this.

5. Finally is a NYX calendar. Ever since NYX appeared in my local Boots I've been unable to stop myself shopping there. I pick up so many bits on a whim. So for £60 a plethora of NYX goodies is right up my alley and slightly further in my price range than the gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury calendar.

You're probably surprised to see that Benefit is not mentioned. However, I don't believe that their calendar is appropriate for the audience it is aimed at so I decided to exclude it from my list, also there are NO full sized products and that's a real shame in my books! Luckily there are about a million other calendars available this year so you won't struggle to find one that is good for you.
