The Products I 'Needed' From Lush

Wednesday, 9 August 2017
If you weren't aware already, Lush are doing their yearly discontinuation of products (full list here) to make way for new ones. Which is all well and good, but it does mean those of us who love the products being discontinued have to make a mercy dash to stock up - like I did. There was a lot of uproar as fan favourite The Comforter shower cream is off, however I wasn't too worried about that one as I wasn't its biggest fan, but there was one that I couldn't miss out on. So I decided to show you what I ended up buying!

Lush Haul, Strawberry Feels Forever, Eau Roma Water, The Birth Of Venus

The product they're discontinuing that I love is the Strawberry Feels Forever massage bar. I hadn't bought this in a while as I've been trying to use up all the body butters I had as I'm moving house. But seeing this was going to go I stocked up. This shares its scent with Yummy Mummy, a scent that usually appears around Mother's Day, and one that I love. As it's only available at certain times this massage bar was a way to get my fix of the gorgeous scent, but that is no longer an option. Naturally I ended up buying myself two in the hope they'll last me until Mother's Day comes round again.

I then stocked up on Eau Roma Water, a good toning water for dry skin. I recently used up my small bottle and worked out that it was more cost effective to get the larger one. However, it's not particularly travel friendly as you can imagine, so I might decant some back into the smaller bottle. This toning water is so calming and smells amazing, I get through it quicker than most I imagine though as I tend to use it to refresh my face throughout the day.

Finally, I had to pick up one of Lush's new jelly face masks as I am a bit of a face mask junkie at the moment. I chose The Birth of Venus mask sort of on a whim as it smelt nice, was a good colour and claims to soften skin. I think these are an interesting idea but perhaps somewhat of a gimmick, although they are self preserving which means you don't have to keep them in the fridge. I'm sure I'll do a follow up post after I've tried it a few times.

I am quite disappointed at the products that are being discontinued as they're all quite popular from what I can see. I'm going back soon for the Blackberry bath bomb and probably the Yuzu and Cocoa shower cream, hopefully they won't be sold out!
