I was having a sort out of all my makeup the other day and came across Collection’s Work The Colour Eye Shadow Pencils (£3.19.) I remember doing a post on these last year and since then I haven’t exactly reached for them and I thought I’d look at why! My original post can be found here…
I now have four shades of the pencils now: Vanilla Sky, Gunmetal Glitz, Vintage Blush and Hot Chocolate. Vanilla Sky is a creamy off white. Gunmetal Glitz is a gunmetal dark grey, with a slight blueish tinge. Vintage Blush is a slightly orangey pink. Hot Chocolate is dark chocolate brown. All are metallic colours which is nice to see.

All the WTC Shadow Pencils are waterproof, which is great for holiday and swimming. However they are a major pain to get off. The swatches on my had took too long, I literally had to scrub. This really annoyed me, when taking my makeup off the last thing I want is to do is scrub my eyelids as it will irritate them. Also when taking these off it comes off in ‘bits’ and leaves product here and there!
All in all if you’re looking for a long wearing eye shadow, that will not budge, for anything! It is also such a small price for something with this staying power. However, because of the limited colour range and it’s stubbornness to be removed it’s not going to be my most reached for eyeshadow product in the next few months. It might come into its own during Summer but until then it’s going to be stashed in a draw.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of the eye shadow pencils and how you got on with them! But until next time…
