During Spring and Summer I get those days where I haven’t got forever to spend doing my makeup so I want a quick routine that I can go to each day. In this routine it is also helpful when few products are used so I can go out and enjoy the sun that may disappear and turn into storms at any second. (You have to love the British weather!) So after I discovered this collection of products worked just how I wanted I haven’t stopped using them!
First I use foundation, which in this case is something quite light with low coverage, such as Maybelline’s Super Stay Better Skin Foundation in Light Beige, this is a sample size and I am not entirely sure if I will purchase the full size as the colour just isn’t quite right. I’ll probably be the only one who notices but it will end up bugging me, so I’m not sure on that. A good thing about this foundation is that it has SPF 20 which will be perfect for Spring/Summer, however if you’re like me you might think that you need a higher SPF I would still suggest using a suncream before.
I do sometimes use a primer if I am likely to stay out late or do exercise more often than not the primer is Benefit’s POREfessional.
If you’re not one who enjoys foundation or are in a rush just using a concealer such as SEVENTEEN’s Phowarr Paint just to cover up your problem areas.
As a very pale girl, me and contouring are not friends at all! So I reach for something that will give me a slight golden shimmer that isn’t for contouring, SEVENTEEN’s Instant Glow Shimmer Brick. This is great as it has four shades that mix together to create a brilliant light gold glow to your face.
For my eyes I line them with Rimmel’s Scandal Eyes Micro Thin Eyeliner, and if I’m feeling brave I’ll add a flick. Then I add an inner corner highlight to open up my eyes. Currently I love MUA’s Eyeshadow Trio in Pink Sorbet, I use the light champagne white, it is stunning! To finish off the eyes I use a mascara that gives good long defined lashes such as Benefit’s They’re Real, it is pricey but amazing!
Brows are a must for me yet somehow managed to escape this photo… Not entirely sure how this happened. Currently Maybelline’s Brow Drama in Dark Blond, is my most used, it matches my brow really well and makes them look more natural than powder and pencil in my opinion.
For lips all I really want is a pop of colour, this comes in the shape of a tinted lip balm; Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch. This smells great but also adds a nice pink tint to the lips. It doesn’t stay on the lips forever but it’s hard not to want to reapply for the gorgeous smell and taste!
I hope you like my go to quick Spring/Summer look and also hope you try it too!
