So today’s topic is a decoration wishlist. Now, decorating in my house mainly consists of going up to the loft, getting the big box of ancient tinsel etc and attempting to make the tree and house look somewhat acceptable. But this year I have decided it is probably time to get a few less aged decorations, as half malting tinsel and dented baubles just isn’t cutting it! So I took to the John Lewis and Debenhams website to find my favourites to show to you.
First from John Lewis we have the rather cute Twig and Berry Heart Hanging Decoration, a few of these look like they could add the hint of class my tree is longing for. I absolutely love the rustic looking Christmas decorations as they add a homely feel to any home. Also as I have a *fake* fireplace these would be so pretty hanging above it. Just below that is the Felt So Good Robin With A Hat Decoration, now this is probably one of the cutest decorations I have seen to date; I love seeing robins in Winter as it makes me think instantly of Christmas, so this would have a prime position on my tree! Next from John Lewis is the Culinary Concepts Stag Christmas Ornament, for some reason this caught my eye whilst browsing and I think would look really nice hanging on my lounge door. My final John Lewis pick is this Ceramic Snowman With Santa Hat, lets be fair he looks like such a lovable character really, a few of him dotted over the tree would be so nice.
I only have three picks from Debenhams, the first being this set of Three Red Glittery Parcel Hanging Decorations. Red is my favourite colour so I love them even more. I’d probably hang these near the bottom so they would look like floating presents under the tree, oh I’m such a child! I love cookies so the Ceramic Polar Bear Cookie Jar is ideal, not only as a decoration but also as a useful addition to my room! The last decoration from Debenhams is this Small Silver Raffia Reindeer, I really want this to display in my bedroom window as it would add a nice Christmassy touch to my otherwise undecorated room!
As I’m a beauty blogger it is hardly surprising that one decoration would be beauty based. Many blogs have been talking about brands doing crackers but the Jo Malone offering was the one that caught my eye. At around £10 they are not particularly budget friendly so I doubt I’ll be getting any, however, if I was a millionaire my tree would be decorated with these from top to bottom so all the family could have one!
So that’s the end of Day 4 already, don’t forget to read yesterday’s Favourite Christmas Reds post (not about wine I’m afraid,) and check back tomorrow to hear about one of my Favourite Books!
