I was thinking the other day about what I like to see from a brand and my first thought went to bloggers, for any non blogger who may be reading this let me explain: there are many blogs out there, thousands and thousands in fact, and so many people now trust blogs over magazines as bloggers trial and test such a variety of products, brands are starting to realise what an influence we have. One such brand is Kiss Cosmetics, for the last few months they have been tweeting asking if bloggers and MUA’s wanted to join their Facebook group. In this group they have asked for our opinions and preferences about makeup, and also given us the chance to review a new release product of theirs!
Last week I received an email telling me I had been picked to trial a new release product of theirs and it arrived on Saturday in a box with a cute little packet of sweets. The product I was sent was the new SheerStick in Fresh Rose* the people at Kiss Cosmetics really did their research on sending me this to try as it is right up my street. Fresh Rose is a gorgeous pinky nude, that really is a my lips but better colour, those who read my blog will know just how much I love a good nude lip, it’s my go to everyday safe bet as it goes with any makeup look.
The formula is much like a lipgloss in lipstick form, it has a glossy finish and adds a sheer wash of colour over the lips. My lips are always dry and sometimes I refrain from using lipsticks as they only make my lips worse, however, I wore this for a day and it felt amazing on my lips. Kiss say it contains Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil which ‘delivers a moisturising treat’ and I completely agree, at times it was like I wasn’t wearing anything on my lips the formula is so lightweight but my lips still felt moisturised!
The packaging seems quite robust and I like that it is the colour of the product so I can easily reach for the colour that I want. This is definitely a product I will throw in my bag for on the go top ups as it is so easily to apply and glides on. The new SheerSticks are available in 8 shades and are available from the 5th of June from the Kiss Cosmetics website at £7 which is a very good price for something of this quality!
