Get That Golden Goddess Glow

Products For a Golden Glow

So summer seems to be here at last, as I write this we’re in the middle of a mini heatwave in the UK, it is a rare occurrence so I have found my shorts and I am wearing them before the sun goes. Anyway it’s around this time that magazines show us bronzed beauties lying on exotic beaches. Now this post can’t help you with the exotic beaches but it can help you get the golden glow associated with it.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Opal

First up I have the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal (£33) which I received in a Glossybox. This Skin Perfector is gorgeous; it has a liquidy consistency and can be blended so easily to give a flawless sunkissed glow. I like using this as a highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones to fake apparent radiance, (that a pale girl like me only usually gets when she reflects light and blinds those around her.) I have also used it as a primer and mixed it into my foundation if I’m looking for a dewy finish to my skin.

Benefit Sunbeam

Here’s a product for those more sunkissed than me! Unlike Benefit Highbeam, which is a pearly highlighter, Benefit Sunbeam (£19.50) is much more golden toned. For those naturally sunkissed or who tan easily, this will add a beautiful glow to your face when dabbed over the cheekbones.

Rimmel Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch

More of a drugstore option is the Rimmel Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in 004 Shimmering Sand. This is part of Rimmel’s Wake Me Up Range, the foundation is amazing! There are two shades in the range but for this post, Shimmering Sand is the best as it’s golden. It describes itself as a mousse though I would say it is more liquidy, it reflects light and seems similar to the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector above.

SEVENTEEN Shimmer Brick

Finally we have a stunning product which caters for all skin tones. This is the SEVENTEEN Shimmer Brick in Gold Bronze*. This has four amazing shades of bronzy golds. The lightest makes a beautiful highlight on the cheekbones, and the others swirl together to make a bronzer. The second shade would make a nice highlight for those with darker skin tones. If you want a more detailed post I have one here.

Love this post! The becca perfector looks like it would be best for me. I am so so pale that a lot of golden tones don't suit meAliwww.passionsandpreening.blogspot.com

I love Benefit Sun Beam! Sometimes I find High Beam can be a little bit too light, especially when i've got a tan; Sun Beam is definitely a favourite of mine in summer.Antonia x | Fifi and the Diamonds
