You’ve probably seen the brand Formula 10.0.6 pop up on Instagram lately as almost everyone seems to be trying it out. After commenting on a few photos from bloggers of the skincare, I noticed I had a message request asking if I would like to try a few bits – being the avid skincare enthusiast I am, I jumped at the opportunity!
First things first, I really loved the effort put into the box they sent over, it was a gorgeous light pink and tied with a bow. It just made me appreciate the products more due to how much thought went into the box itself. Anyway, onto the actual products. I really like the packaging, I think it allows the products to be unisex, the packaging is clean and smart and looks very nice in the bathroom. Each product is clearly labelled and uses a different colour scheme so you can quickly pick up and use the one you want without hassle in the mornings.
The three they sent across were: Pores Be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask*, Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser* and Picture Perfect Day Cream*. Every single one of these smells amazing. The mud mask reminds me of strawberry yogurt from my childhood, the cleanser is a subtle passion fruit and moisturiser a gentle fruity scent (with a hint of SPF.) I’ve been using the mask around once a week since I got it, it’s most effective on my t-zone as that is the only area of my face that sees oil, my main skin concern is with dryness. Mud masks are great at drawing out the skins impurities which is great for when your skin isn’t playing ball and blemishes are popping up left, right and centre. I love a good foaming cleaner, as for some reason they just feel like they’re doing more for your skin, just me? I’ve been using this as my ‘in shower’ cleanser, as oppose to my makeup removing cleansers etc, and so far it’s working rather well, my skin definitely feels clean afterwards. Now I was probably most intrigued by the moisturiser, it contains SPF 15 which is a plus in my eyes as protecting your skin from the sun is a must. However, I hate thick moisturisers for day to day wear and I was hoping this wouldn’t be one. Luckily it’s quite a light formula which absorbs into the skin very quickly, which is great for those in a rush!
Overall, I wasn’t necessarily surprised at how good the range is due to the positive reviews I’ve seen on Instagram lately. I was however, definitely happy to find that the scents were as amazing as they are. I am more than happy to smother my face in a yogurt smelling mask than something chemically, and there’s always something nice about great smelling products. I would recommend getting the mask if you were planning on trying anything, it’s certainly my favourite! Their prices range from £6.99 to £8.99, so it’s not the most expensive by any means, it’s also currently on offer in Boots if you’re looking for a bargain.
