Perfect Hands with Flexitol Handcare

I’ve struggled with hand care for the longest time, and to be honest I still do. My hands are often dry, my skin is dry all year round so this isn’t a surprise, and my nails just don’t like to grow – I will put this up to the fact that I used to be a habitual nail biter. I worked with skincare brand Flexitol in January for my Fitness Focus post, so was more than happy to put their hand care to the test, to see if I could get perfect hands with Flexitol handcare.

The two polishes above are just a representation of the kinds of shades I would use on my nails if they were good enough. I’ve tried many different treatments, nail hardeners, nail oils etc, but I had never actually used a cuticle product. Silly I know, however, I always thought it was such faff to put on and let soak in. Luckily Flexitol has a solution for people who would rather not have oil dripping from their fingertips, and that is their Cuticle and Nail Cream*. This might not sound necessarily revolutionary, but in fact this has a brush tip which means you can paint the cream around your cuticles and massage it in. This is perfect for on the go as it’s not too greasy, and you are able to apply and get on with your day.

The Hand Balm* on the other hand, is a must have for anyone with super dry hands. If your job requires you to use your hands all day, and even if you’re a mum who spends her life cleaning up after children, this will have a place in your life. It is, as it says, a balm for your hands, so expect a very thick treatment that you let settle in. I’ve found it to be particularly useful when the tops of my fingers end up cracking, usually I would just wait it out and use normal hand cream. Instead I use the hand balm, as it aids their recovery. In my opinion, this is not just a hand product, you could quite easily use it on elbows, knees, even your heels.

Overall, I am quite a fan of the Flexitol Handcare that I’ve tried. As ever, I donate products to my mum, this time the balm , as she loves her handcare. (She loves this!) Maybe one day I’ll get her to write a little section on my blog, I think it would be nice to have her perspective on certain products.

You can purchase the Flexitol range on the Boots website, the products range from £4.99 to £9.49, and there is an offer on at the moment. I hope you’re enjoying the hot weather, see you on Wednesday!
